What is it?
The new ZL1 is the ultimate factory Camaro--now and probably ever. It's certainly the most powerful, with 54 percent more horsepower than the infamous COPO-option, big-block 1969 Camaro ZL-1. Development engineers say one-third of the ZL1's parts are unique, compared with the current fifth-generation Camaro SS. All of those unique parts, save the ZL1's Alcantara dash insert, were upgraded to improve performance.
It starts under the hood with General Motors' supercharged, 6.2-liter LSA V8. Familiar from the Cadillac CTS-V, the LSA is similar but not identical to the LS9 small-block in the Corvette ZR1, and its distinctions go beyond a smaller Eaton twin-scroll supercharger. The ZL1 engine is assembled in Silao, Mexico, while the Corvette LS9 is hand-built at GM's Performance Build Center in Wixom, Mich., with titanium connecting rods and valves and dry-sump lubrication.

Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s next iPad, expected to go on sale in March, will sport a high-definition screen, run a faster processor and work with next-generation wireless networks, according to three people familiar with the product.
The company’s manufacturing partners in Asia started ramping up production of the iPad 3 this month and plan to reach full volumes by February, said one of the people, who asked not to be named because the details aren’t public. Saab has suspended warranty coverage on all of its vehicles in North America. Additionally, new vehicles must be sold "as is," the bankrupt Swedish automaker told its dealers. However, General Motors, Saab's former owner, said Tuesday it would honor warranties on all models sold when it owned the Swedish automaker.
The suspension took place on Dec. 19, the same day a Swedish court approved the automaker's bankruptcy petition to liquidate and begin paying creditors.

New BenQ W7000 3D Full HD Home Cinema DLP Projector
BenQ recently launched its first 3D Full HD home cinema projector – the W7000. It is known as the first projector in the world to be accredited with the TUV Rheinland 3D Full HD certification. The projector uses DLP Link to provide crosstalk free 1080p Full HD 3D images to both eyes with a high contrast ratio of 50000:1 and a maximum brightness of 2000 ANSI lumens. What’s more, this 3D home theater projector also provides several connectivity options including a pair of HDMI 1.4a port, a D-Sub connector, component video, S-Video and an integrated RS232 port.
The BenQ W7000 supports both NTSC and PAL encoding systems and has a lamp life of up to 2500 hours. The BenQ W7000 will be available worldwide starting later this month, but no info regarding the pricing of this projector was announced.

Saab has been on the edge of collapse since a cash shortage early this year forced it to halt production. Now Automotive News reports that a last-minute payment from China's Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile has given the Swedish carmaker yet another shot. Youngman wants to get a stake in Saab and has taken the first step by giving the company $5 million to cover tax expenses, with another $26.43 million forthcoming for unpaid salaries and $13.18 million more before the end of December. Saab again deferred paying salaries on Nov. 25.

Coda is the passenger-car outgrowth of Miles Electric Vehicles, both founded by entrepreneur Miles Rubin to electrify transportation. While Miles Electric Vehicles focused on small commercial trucks and campus people transporters, Coda has concentrated on street-legal, freeway-ready passenger cars for the general public. Even though Coda has had its ups, downs and delays over the years, company execs now say that the first vehicle will be available for sale in “early 2012.” That first car is the somewhat (OK, really) bland car you see here, built mostly by Chinese carmaker Hafei and shipped motorless to Coda’s final assembly plant in Benecia, Calif. There, Coda installs a 134-hp UQM motor, battery-management system and a relatively large 36-kilowatt-hour lithium-iron-phosphate battery (the Nissan Leaf is 24 kilowatt-hours and the Mitsubishi “i” is 16 kilowatt-hours) that gives the 3,600-pound car a pretty hefty range of 150 miles.

Motorola comes with the DROID XYBOARD 8.2 in the beginning of 2012
BRG.COM just got their hands on one of Motorola’s latest tablets, the Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2. Besides the name, there seems to be a lot to like at first glance. For starters, Motorola has picked a near-perfect size for this tablet. At 8.2-inches, the XYBOARD seems like a perfect and portable tablet. It’s reasonably fast, though we’ve noticed some lag in the UI when browsing, or doing other tasks. One thing we’re just not understanding is the landscape orientation push. It feels unnatural to hold a tablet that has a widescreen proportion in landscape most of the time, though clearly that’s what Motorola intended with the XOOM and now XYBOARDs. There’s also the issue of the black bezel being almost too narrow to hold comfortably with two hands in portrait orientation, though because the device is so incredibly light, there really hasn’t been any fatigue yet in a little bit of usage. With the tapered edges, and the extremely thin and feather light design, this could be a huge winner at an extremely different price point. Maybe at $199 or $249, but not at $429 with a two-year agreement from Verizon, that’s just crazy talk. Stay tuned for coverage of the Motorola DROID XYBOARD 10.1 tablet and, of course, the review. Apple’s next-generation iPad 3 tablet will reportedly launch between mid-March and mid-April next year (2012) according to a new report. Citing anonymous sources in Apple’s component supply chain, DigiTimes reports that Apple’s iPad 3 will launch in the next three to four months. The sources claim iPad 2 production remains high, likely in the 14 to 15-million unit-range during the fourth quarter this year, but Apple will decrease iPad 2 orders to between 4 and 5 million units in the first quarter of 2012. Foxconn will build between 9.5 and 9.7 million third-generation iPad units in the first quarter according to the report, with production ramping up in February. CLICK HERE FOR MORE NEWS
